The Beard Spot Monitor
The Beard Spot Monitor is a private internal reporting tool for authorized members of The Beard Spot business. It helps the owner review website availability, search performance, analytics and Merchant Center issues using direct Google services.
Read the monitor's Privacy details and Terms below. Contact: support@thebeardspot.com.
About The Beard Spot Monitor
The monitor reads public website availability and authorized reports from Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and Google Merchant Center. It stores monitoring results in a designated private Google Sheet and uses Google Apps Script to prepare reports and manage its own schedules.
Daily collection and a Monday morning weekly report in Eastern Time are planned. Scheduled monitoring has not been activated. AI analysis is disabled.
The monitoring collector reads reports; it does not modify products, campaigns, website content or store settings. Its one-time Merchant API developer registration has been completed separately as an access setup step.
Privacy details
Information accessed and why
The owner authorizes Google access to collect information needed for internal business monitoring:
- Public website response status, response size, redirect information and basic indexing-related indicators from the homepage, robots.txt and sitemap.
- Google Search Console aggregate clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average search position for selected reporting periods.
- Google Analytics 4 aggregate sessions, active users, reported purchases and purchase revenue for selected reporting periods, together with reporting metadata.
- Merchant Center account issues, issue counts, product counts, disapproval counts and limited samples of product identifiers, destination approval status and diagnostic details.
The monitor does not request Google passwords, Gmail access, customer profiles or payment card data. It does not request individual customer or event records. Google data is used for the owner's internal reporting, not sold or used for advertising targeting.
Permissions and operations
Some Google permission scopes are broader than the collector's actual operations. Search Console and Analytics access is read-only. The Sheets permission enables writing monitoring results to the designated private Sheet. Apps Script permissions enable external requests and management of the monitor's schedules. Merchant API uses a broader content-management permission scope for the report reads, but the collector only reads Merchant data. The completed one-time API registration was separate from routine monitoring.
Storage, access and processing
Monitoring reports are stored in the designated Google Sheet. Configuration, issue state and verification markers are stored in Apps Script properties. Google processes information through its services. Access is governed by the Google account, project access and Sheet sharing settings; the owner should keep access limited to authorized business users.
The current configuration limits the Daily tab to 800 report rows and other monitoring tabs to 400 report rows each. Older rows are removed when a tab exceeds its configured limit during a write. These are record limits, not a guarantee that all data is deleted after 400 days. Configuration and state properties remain until changed or deleted. Copies or exports retained by the owner are controlled separately.
AI and outbound reporting
AI is currently disabled. The monitor currently sends no Google monitoring data to an AI provider and sends no outbound email or chat reports. Any future AI processing or additional reporting destination requires owner authorization and an updated disclosure before activation.
Control and deletion
The owner can delete report rows or the monitoring Sheet, remove Apps Script properties, remove scheduled triggers and revoke the monitor's Google permissions. Revoking permissions or removing schedules stops future access or collection but does not automatically delete previously saved reports or owner-created copies. For questions about access, use or deletion, contact support@thebeardspot.com.
Terms
The Beard Spot Monitor is for internal use by authorized business users. It provides reporting information to support human review and business decisions. The owner is responsible for authorizing access, controlling sharing and schedules, and approving any optional service costs.
Reports may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable because of source reporting delays, missing or incorrect tracking, limited diagnostic samples, API restrictions, service failures or other interruptions. A website availability check is not a full checkout, payment or customer-experience test. Zero reported purchases is not proof that no sales occurred.
Monitoring results and any future recommendations require human review before action. The tool does not guarantee search rankings, sales, Merchant Center approval or reinstatement, uninterrupted website availability or error-free reporting.
These terms and privacy details apply to this internal monitoring tool. Questions about the tool can be sent to support@thebeardspot.com.
